Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Retirement Builders (“we”, “us”) processes when you visit www.retirement-builders.net, use our calculators, subscribe to our newsletter or email us, and what rights you have.

Summary
- No tracking cookies. This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, pixels or similar technologies.
- Calculators run in your browser. What you type into a calculator is not sent to us and is not stored.
- Newsletter via beehiiv. If you subscribe, you enter your email address on beehiiv’s page, not on ours.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
1. What data we process, why, on what legal basis and for how long

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, account numbers, identity documents or other sensitive financial details. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
On www.retirement-builders.net: no tracking cookies. The website does not set cookies, does not use local storage for tracking, and does not load analytics, advertising pixels, social media widgets or third-party fonts. Our font is hosted on our own server. Because no non-essential cookies are used, there is no cookie banner.
On beehiiv’s subscribe page (retirementbuilders.beehiiv.com), which opens when you click “Subscribe”: beehiiv uses a strictly necessary security cookie from Cloudflare (__cf_bm), a bot-protection check (Google reCAPTCHA and/or Cloudflare Turnstile) and loads Google Fonts. We have not enabled any advertising or analytics pixels on that page. beehiiv’s own privacy and cookie policy applies there.
If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
3. Newsletter and unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing info@retirement-builders.net. Unsubscribing does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew consent.

These providers process data only on our instructions and under their data processing terms. We do not sell, rent or give your data to anyone else, except where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
beehiiv and Vercel are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where this happens, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the provider is certified, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. 6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use these rights, email info@retirement-builders.net. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
7. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
- Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (email address, IP address) and internet activity (server logs; newsletter opens and clicks), for the purposes in section 1. We do not collect sensitive personal information.
- Do not sell or share: we do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we have not done so in the last 12 months. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals, although there is currently nothing to opt out of.
- Your rights: to know what we collect, to access, delete and correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information (which we do not collect), and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. Send requests to info@retirement-builders.net. We may need to verify your request, for example by confirming it from the email address concerned. You may use an authorised agent.
8. Children
This website and newsletter are not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Security
We keep the data we hold to a minimum. The calculators do not send your inputs anywhere, and we rely on providers that use encryption in transit (HTTPS).
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If we make important changes, for example adding analytics, we will mention it on this page and, where appropriate, in the newsletter.
