Why this site exists

Most retirement content online is either country-specific, written to sell a product, or both. We think the core questions (“How much do I need?”, “How long will my money last?”, “Can I retire at 60?”) deserve neutral, transparent answers that work in any currency, with the assumptions and sources visible.

A fresh start

This domain previously hosted content under a different name and persona that did not reflect who runs the site. That content has been removed or rewritten. Everything on the site now follows our editorial policy.

How we use AI

We use AI openly, as a tool, not as an author you cannot hold to account:

• What AI helps with: drafting and editing text, writing and testing calculator code, checking pages for broken links and outdated figures, and summarising official documents.
• What humans do: the publisher decides what is published, checks every formula against its source, and verifies every official figure (for example contribution limits or state pension rates) against the official publication before it goes live.
• What AI does not do: AI does not invent sources, testimonials, people or credentials. If we cannot verify a figure, we do not publish it.
• Your data: the calculators run in your browser. We do not send what you type to an AI service.
